A-level Art History

A very stimulating A-Level to study is that of Art History. For all those students who wish to study History of Art, Art, Design or who may be interested in the subject, this A-Level offers an engaging way of learning about the roots of Art. Students will get the chance to explore different themes, eras, techniques, and artists.

There are two papers that make up this qualification. They are 3-hours long and are worth 110 marks each. In Section A of the first paper students will be required to conduct a visual analysis of an unseen photograph, and in section B they will have to answer a 2-fold compulsory question based on 2 out of the 3 themes provided. In Paper two, students will have to choose two out of the four periods provided and
answer a question (each comprised of 4 parts) on each period.
