More specifically, the SAT Subject in German requires some preliminary knowledge and therefore it would not be a prudent idea to embark on the preparation process if you are an absolute beginner. Ideally you should be at intermediate level to have fair chances of doing well in the SAT Subject Test in German. The actual test lasts 60 minutes and comprises 85 multiple choice questions, based on vocabulary in context (30%), structure (30%–40%) and reading comprehension (30%–40%). The scoring is on a scale of 200 – 800 and the test is available in August, October, December, May, and June.
