Stanford, Peter, Edward, and Arnold need to cross a bridge at night. At most two people can be on the bridge at once. Among the men is one flashlight which must be carried during any crossing. The flashlight may handed between men but may not be thrown. It takes Stanford 10 minutes to cross, Peter 5 minutes, Edward 2 minutes, and Arnold 1 minute. If two men cross at the same time they must walk at the slower mans pace. How can you get everyone across in 17 minutes?
